August Heart's of the West Blog Hop!

   A fun few facts about August: It is National Picnic Month, Also this month's birth flowers are the beautiful gladiolus and the poppy!

Here is the details of our late summer projects!

   For his month blog hop I decided to do a scrapbook page. I'm not much of a scrapbooker but I have lots of photo's that I want to us so here is my second layout this year.

   For this layout I used Outdoor Denim cardstock for the base. I decided to use 1"  strips of Sky, Pear, Buttercup, Sorbet, Whisper and a retired printed paper ( sorry can't remember the name) for the background. I then used Pear, Sky and Buttercup to mat each picture.

   

    I made the rosette using the Artiste Cartridge. I used an retired stamp to the Love This and the June SOTM Kaboom for the Fun and What a Blast flags. I put the flags on tooth picks and used 3D foam tape to pop them up.

 
    I used the Artbooking cartridge to cut the friends forever in Buttercup and Sorbet. I also added some Btitty Sparkles to some of the strips for that little bit of sparkle. I still have to add the journaling to the layout. I'm thinking of writing right on the picture of the kids with the seal but still undecided. I'm very happy with how this turned out.
